This, the second Sweet Billy Pilgrim album, is every bit as wonderful as the first one was, which is an enormous relief. I couldn't imagine how songwriter Tim Elsenburg was going to improve on 2005's We Just Did What Happened And No One Came but as soon as the heart-swelling chorus of Truth Only Smiles kicked in, I knew everything would be just fine.

Elsenburg's cracked yet powerful voice delivers a huge emotional impact, his inscrutably aching lyrics are devastating and his glitchy ambient/orchestral musical arrangements are sumptuously gorgeous. I seriously doubt l'll hear a more glamorously enchanting album until they releases the next one.
